An Excellent Book for A Niche Reader

The book’s contents are excellent for a serious student looking to dip their toes, but I definitely would not recommend it to an average joe or jane looking to just pick up a book and read casually - most are likely better off listening to a youtube lecture instead.

Divine Speech is quite academic despite its noble attempt at accessibility. This is not a “for everyone” book, in my opinion.

The handsome hardcover book arrived damaged in one corner as it only came in some bubble wrap and thick envelope, no box or anything. The body text print’s alignment is a little crooked and leaves a lot to be desired. The typesetting needs to be optimised in future versions - or perhaps my copy was just a print dud, so I’m not sure.

Otherwise, Divine Speech is a great book for a niche reader. Keep in mind who it’s for, how the body text (of the copy I received personally) is positioned kinda crooked on the pages, and its potential shipping damages should you order internationally. Thank you!

Good, appropriate title.

Fascinating. Made my understanding of the Quran si much better. The book answered mu confusion about the Quran and helped me not only better understand it but realize it is, indeed, Allah's words.

The content itself is amazing! Very similar to how lectures and online courses are presented through the Bayyinah Institute. The content itself is EXTREMELY informative and thought provoking, and I would expect nothing less. Unfortunately however the actual structure of the book would earn it a four star rating due to a slightly damaged corner I noticed upon receiving it, as well as a few pages that have me concerned about it tearing or ripping. However I didn’t buy the book to criticize its design, I bought it for the rich tools it provides to anyone (Muslim and Non-Muslim) interested in learning more about Islam and the capabilities the religion has to shape the chaotic would around us. A huge thank you to the authors, and Jazak Allahukhayran for the work the entire Bayyinah team has put into this project!
